The LEGO® Group makes a lot of efforts to connect with their audience. While Hollywood keeps churning out superhero movies, LEGO® building sets keep following. But any true nerd knows that the superhero movies owe their very existence to comic books, right? 😉
LEGO® Comic Books
As a result, part of remaining true to the genre of superhero movies means including comic books. While far from the main focus of a set, the comic books can connect with different audiences. And they probably inspire more than a few collector types to purchase more building sets than they might otherwise. I wanted to take a moment to show the selection of comics that we’ve got in the store. While relatively few in number, they might make a great gift for a young super hero aficionado. Or fill a hole in a collection!
In the LEGO® movie, I really enjoyed the scenes in which Marvel and DC superheroes interact and hilarity ensues.
Fun fact: Our sales figures peg Aquaman as the 4th most popular superhero, behind Batman, Superman, and Spiderman (in that order).
