Lots of people love LEGO® minifigures. They come in tremendous varieties, from ordinary people in the city to Star Wars aliens from the outer rim territories. Today we’ll talk a little about how minifigures are available through BrickLink and BrickOwl.
You can find many minifigures listed as “whole minifigures”. These are the minifigures as they appear in various LEGO® building sets. For a long time, we listed all the minifigures from the sets we parted out in this fashion. It’s easiest, keeps the fewest number of items in our inventory, and the figures sell as a whole item.

Build your own!
But what about when you want to build your own unique minifigure instead of one copied from a set of instructions? We’ve recently started listing some of the figures from sets we’re parting out in this manner. It gives you a lot more flexibility – instead of getting the relatively limited selection of figures already presented in LEGO® sets, you can instead build a minifigure that looks however you desire. (Check out our current inventory here.)

We’re likely to keep brandname minifigures whole. The demand for Stormtrooper legs without the torso is rather low, while whole Stormtroopers are hard to keep in stock. As a result, we’ll keep offering Stormtroopers, Jedi, and superheroes as a whole unit. But we also have a wide variety of minifigure parts to make exactly the minifigure you want as you build you, or your family, in LEGO®.
