Here in our home, we celebrate advent, abet on the low key side. You might remember that at least one member of our immediate family doesn’t like the hoopla that comes with this holiday, while another craves extreme hoopla. So, we seek balance.
One thing that we all enjoy, only partly because we all enjoy Lego® so much, is the Lego® advent calendar. Though it’s true that its last years (2016) as we got it on clearance after Christmas and saved it, it still works and is still a ton of fun! We all enjoy building the miniature sets, and they are just so *cute*.
So far this year, we’ve gotten through day 4. We will likely miss a day or two, which means on other days we get to open 2!
You can’t tell me that these are not just genius.
Last year, we opened the 2015 calendar. We were just tickled pink with the sets we got, which is what convinced us to go for the calendar again this year. Yes, after Christmas, we will get a 2017 calendar to save for 2018 Christmas.
