Well, yes. There are some still wearing shorts, even into December. This is Central Texas; 40′ and up is shorts weather according to some. But not me, I’ve got my long johns on for park times that are in the 40s. And here are some short snap-shots of what is going on around here….
Park Finds
Speaking of the park, painted rocks are now a thing. I guess the idea is to paint them and hide them around the park for others to find. I told Little Man he had to put this one back, since we didn’t have one to replace it with. He was unhappy about it, but did it. Maybe we can paint some rocks to leave so that taking one isn’t a big deal.
More LEGO®?
Oh, yes. More LEGO®. Poor UPS guy had to unload 10 boxes the other night. To save room, we stacked them high. Luckily, all of us are agile enough to get around the stack that continues to live in the garage for lack of room in the LEGO® room.
Climbing Adventures
Little Man loves to climb so that he can jump off the thing, so rarely climbs that high. Mr Wigglesworth just likes to climb, and he climbs high. We have good friends who watched the boys for a few hours earlier this week and were wonderfully diligent about keeping everyone safe. Then, when we were picking the boys up, we let them go outside ahead of us… and they decided to get into the tree house. Up a 16 ft ladder. Yes, the 2 yr old climbed the ladder successfully and shrieked with pleasure as I had a freak out moment about how I was going to get him down. Luckily, the Mom of this family was confident in climbing down the ladder holding a 30 lb boy, so she did. Gah, I hope I don’t have too many more of these moments, but I’m sure I will.
Gifts
Did you know your USPS mail carrier cannot accept monetary gifts or gifts over a certain value? When I learned this, I was glad to think that we always aim for low-cost, consumable type gifts. In past years, its been a little gift bag with hot chocolate packets and accessories. This year, we made ‘lotion bars’ for co-op teachers and our mail carrier. Mr Wigglesworth even decorated all the tags with his art work, he was very intent with his markers.
Our mail carrier certainly deserves something from us since we regularly load her up with boxes and packages of LEGO®. Tomorrow, we’ve got more to go out! Is your order in this stack?
If you are thinking of ordering LEGO from us, and you want it before Christmas, order by the 19th, please!*
How’s your December shaping up?
* If you are not in the continental USA, order even earlier. If you live in snow-prone areas, order earlier. We ship orders within 1 business day for most orders.
