We have a tendency to shop for LEGO® in spurts. It might take 6 months to part out this much LEGO®, but shopping is generally a disliked activity. Its not the spending of money, its the actual shopping. Doing it online makes the experience nicer, for sure. Got your drink, sitting, and no dragging of young children around. Now, it might be that next week I’ll get to share the Black Friday haul with you, but for now, here is the “we ran out of sets to part out” haul.
Boxes big enough to hold a body…
Seriously, until we started buying LEGO® in larger numbers, I didn’t know there were boxes this big that stuff shipped in. I always feel bad for the delivery guy when we get 3 large boxes. Boxes big enough to hold 1 adult body… or maybe 2.

Air pillows
Some vendors are generous with air pillows.

Parting out
We get the parting out going as soon as all the other sets are put away. First, sort bags. Then part out one set of bags. Repeat. Its not exciting work, but it can be soothing work. The sort of mindless work that allows your mind to wander or focus on listening to a podcast, book or video.

This time, we started with the excavator set. We have been amazed at how fast the Technic parts are selling. The Professor has been working on this set for a while, and is still putting parts up for sale. We will keep you in the loop as sets get parted out!
