This last week I had to make a quick trip to my grandfather’s funeral. Its always sad to say good-bye to a loved one, but its always good to see the rest of the family. Funerals and death is like that, a mixed bag.
While there, my 2nd cousin (or somesuch) told me about how her dad, at the rehab center where he is at, has “LEGO therapy”. She said they have patients build with LEGO because its calming and lets patients work in fine motor skills in a fun way.
And then, today, I find this! https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/01/16/legos-toys-for-stressed-adults/
I’m not at all surprised that there are adults who want to build with LEGO, though I was surprised to see it used in occupational therapy. It does make sense, though!
So, of course, we start thinking about what we could do with this…. store front…. place to build…. adult oriented building parties….but that is far into the future. For now, if you find building with LEGO soothing, and you need bricks, check out our selection!
