It’s really been a week already?
I’m back to teaching. The homeschool co-op started meeting again and all our social activities return. Considering these things, we decided to move to a Monday/Friday update schedule which will better accommodate life. Also, these weekly updates have shown themselves to motivate me rather well towards getting more done.
The week’s work:
I only parted out two sets this week. We now have parts from 5 copies of 21131 (The Ice Spikes) and 9 copies of 41184 (Aira’s Airship and the Amulet Chase). In fact, I haven’t completely listed the latter set yet because of one other thing I did this week. We filed our sales tax return! That’s exciting to us for two reasons.
1) We got it done. Regulatory compliance doesn’t happen by itself and also intimidates me. It’s only our second quarter filing, so we’re not seasoned veterans yet.
2) One significant reason we wanted a home business involves helping the kids learn some of these life skills. I can’t teach them if I don’t have them and even though Little Man won’t be filing our taxes for a long while, we’ve taken a step.
Thus, we file with glad hearts!
Back to the LEGO® sets. I loved parting out The Ice Spikes. This had a LOT of basic bricks and included some new colors. For the moment, we have lots of medium blue bricks and more bright light blue parts than I think we’ve ever had before. We also got these:

Trans-medium blue is the color in BrickLink speak. They look beautiful, really giving the icy look the set wants. The set also included some Minecraft themed minifigures.

I look forward to updating again next week. We’re working on some things to help make the work a little easier and more fun!
